Vitamin E is an essential nutrient for a healthy body.  It is well known for its antioxidant properties.  Antioxidants are important for protecting cell membranes from free radical damage. If you fry foods or are eating something that has been cooked in the open, it will quickly destroy Vitamin E products.  Vitamin E will also not be able to stay in the body if the food has been in a deep freezing area. 

One of the things to keep in mind with this type of vitamin is that taking too much can cause the opposite affect to your body.  It will be protecting so many different areas of your body that it may cause problems such as weakness of muscles and fatigue.  Because of this, it is important to monitor how much Vitamin E you are taking.  People with certain medical conditions or taking particular prescription drugs should consult a physician before taking Vitamin E supplements.  Vitamin E has been known to cause unwanted side effects due to drug interactions.
